When you lead others, give them a heaping portion of support and care. Regard them through the lens of their attitudes and beliefs. You are on their side. It’s soothing, like a nice warm bath.
At the same time, challenge their assumptions and beliefs. Raise doubts and insist on testing alternative ideas. It’s time to disrupt complacency, and wake up! It’s stimulating, like a cold shower.
The combination of deep acceptance and rigorous challenge is irresistible. It will bring out the best in you and everyone else when you practice both at the same time.
